Here are a couple of Pro Tips for beginners from PLR's own @djkukysweets who is also a successful club and wedding DJ. Clubs - Get there at least 10-20 minutes before your set so you can analyze your crowd. This will also help you see what the other DJ is playing so you won’t play the same exact music. Try your best to sound professional on the Mic. Always be humble to clients, give them shout outs and try to play their requests. Dress good and look presentable. Remember you’re a public figure. Weddings - The Wedding crowd is different. You have a mixture of old and young people. Make sure to read the crowd and see what they like more. Be aware this is not a club; a wedding is a classier event so it’s important to avoid “dirty” tracks and not go too crazy on the mic. Always use clean versions. Make sure to dress appropriately with a nice tuxedo.
